Stretching for Sore Feet

Wednesday, 28 January 2015

Sore feet ladies? Forget about wearing heels, unless you’re a “Victoria Beckham” - a goddess who can pull off anything during pregnancy. If you’re anything like I was, I avoided all heels and couldn’t even pop on closed in shoes during winter, as I would become a claustrophobic nutter.

Lucky for me though, I live by the beach so wearing “thongs” (which are those flip flops on your feet, not the cheeky underwear) wasn’t frowned upon whilst heading out to dinner with my partner. Unfortunately thongs didn’t cure the sore feet, so I’ve put together a feet specific stretching regime to help you feel like you’re walking on clouds again, well the closest you may get at least whilst you’re carrying you’re special little pumpkin.

Now, although I can’t personally drive over to your house and make your lover give you endless amounts of foot massages, I can give you some helpful tips to team with your stretches.
  • Drink plenty of water, I mean lots of it!! Strap on a camel back if you think it looks good.
  • Comfortable footwear are a MUST.
  • Warm foot baths if it’s not 40 degrees outside work wonders.
  • Elevate those tootsies, especially if you’re sitting at a computer all day or constantly on your feet.
You’re pregnant now ladies, take that relaxation time as much as you can. Delegate! Delegate! Delegate!
All the photos below are quite self explanatory. The last photo however is a foot massage - in a kneeling position with your feet crossed, use the top of your foot to massage the foot beneath.
Enjoy the stretches beautiful mummies to be!

    With love
